Greetings, Fellow Marine Surveyors and Industry Partners,

The 2026 Marine Surveyors’ Fall Conference, sponsored by NAMS – North Pacific Region, will be held in Bremerton, Washington, from 22-24 October at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, Bremerton, Washington. Bremerton is home to Naval Base Puget Sound, the largest of the Navy's four public yards, with more than 15,000 employees. The other shipyards are located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Norfolk, Virginia; and Kittery, Maine.

This year’s conference costs $175.00. NAMS and SAMS marine surveyors will receive 11 general continuing education (CE) credits + 1 ethics credit for attending both days. There is also an option to earn 6 CEUs by taking a Non-Destructive Testing Class on 22 October at the Fairfield Inn. This will cost an additional $150.

The tentative agenda is attached. The conference is open to all marine surveyors and industry members. Sign-in sheets for NAMS and SAMS surveyors will be at the registration table. You will need to sign in both days at both the morning and afternoon sessions.

The conference will be held at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Bremerton (above right). The hotel is a short walk or drive from the Bremerton ferry terminal (about 2 blocks). Street parking is available, along with paid parking across from the hotel at the City of Bremerton lot, the bottom level of the Kitsap Conference Center, or at other parking lots in the immediate area.

There will be an election for a new North Pacific Region Vice President in November. Persons interested in running for this office will be given 5 minutes during the seminar to discuss their candidacy.

Lunch both days is on your own; there are restaurants and eateries in the downtown area surrounding the hotel. Coffee, water, and breakfast pastries will be provided.

There will be no set morning or afternoon breaks. If you need to leave the room, please do so and return quickly and quietly. Coffee and water will be available all day during the conference. Please silence your cell phones and take calls outside the conference room.

All attendees and conference speakers are invited to attend a meet-and-greet starting at 1730 at the South Pacific Sports Bar, 218 1st St, Bremerton, WA, on Thursday, October 22nd. We have the upstairs reserved.

The NAMS North Pacific Region’s annual soirée for all attendees and conference speakers will start at 1730 at the Horse and Cow Pub and Grill (below left, 536 4th St, Bremerton) on Friday, October 23rd. This establishment is a well-known submariner hangout with a sister bar in Guam. As usual, we have the upstairs reserved.
